Seoul bus classification - main line, branch line, village line, etc

We would like to introduce you to the types of buses in Seoul.

1. Main bus(Trunk bus)

It is very convenient to distinguish buses by color. The color of the trunk bus is blue.

It operates medium and long-distance routes in parts of Gyeonggi and entire Seoul. The route number consists of three numbers.

2. Feeder bus(local line bus)

It is also a short- and medium-distance city bus that operates in parts of Gyeonggi-do and whole Seoul area. The route number consists of four numbers. The color is green.

3. Late night bus

Late night buses went into effect on September 12, 2013. The color is blue.

4. Village bus

It is green, similar to a feeder bus. It is best to use a numbering system to distinguish it from local line buses. The village bus number is ‘region name + unique number’.

There are other buses, but these are the most used.
