Seoul, Korea - subway fares
Subway fares are calculated as ‘base fare + additional fare proportional to distance’. The basic rates are as follows:
[Basic fare]
<Based on transportation card>
Regular: 1,400 won
Youth: 800 won
Children: 500 won
Please note that it is in ‘won’ units, not dollars.
<Based on one-time ticket>
General: 1,500 won
Youth: 1,500 won
Children: 500 won
[Distance proportional fee]
From 10km to 50km, 100 won is added for every 5km, and from 50km, 100 won is added for every 8km.
